MINUTES October 04, 2023

1. Ms. Enz called the meeting to order at 10:04 a.m. A quorum was not present.
2. Introductions were made.
- Hybrid meeting.
3. Minutes weren’t adopted for September 06, 2023. Motion not Carried.
4. CTSA Reports:
Mr. Gomez had the following updates:
- Attended an event at Calipatria High School giving information on IVT and Access
- Attended the Walk to School event on October 4, 2023.
- Working on the bus stop improvement project with local cities.
- Calexico ITC is now fully funded.
- Alegria has joined IVT Ride and Access. Helping seniors transport to and from.
- Continuing to assist in sign-ups for IVT Ride and Access via phone and In-person.
- Staff is available for any questions or concerns regarding any of the services.
- Staff is also available to provide brochures and information to any agency that requests it,
5. Transit 101 Presentation
- ICTC staff presented on Transit 101, all services. A presentation was made by Mr. Gomez to review IVT transit services offered by ICTC: statistics, capacities, number of buses for each service, outreach material, etc.(Attached)
· Mr. Gomez encouraged SSTAC members to participate in providing information on their agencies as it is vital to know when referring clients to other resources.
6. Transit Operator FY 2022-23 Reports:
Imperial Valley Transit
- Services are running busier than usual.
- IVC transit is running great.
- Continuing outreach about services
- Free Faires are still ongoing.
IVT Access
- Services are running normal, back to pre-covid stats.
- Working with Alegria patients.
- IVC Transit back in service.
IVT Ride
- Services are busier than usual.
- Attending more outreach
- Running a third bus in Calexico.
- AAA covering ride charges.
IVT MedTrans
- Services is running normal.
- Free fairs until further notice
- Reaching out to Children Hospital for future plans.
- Foundation Mirical Babies to present a Presentation for services.
7. General Discussion
- Ms. Lopez stated that Workforce and Economic Develop has funding for individuals that need transportation to work on north end of Imperial County. A few Grants that are being resubmitted, amongst them is the Recompete Grant, allowing funding to expand to the north end. Plans are to bring ICTC to the table and discuss the matter.
