Invitation for Bids
The project proposes to construct an Intermodal Transportation Center in downtown Calexico. The project is primarily located along the south side of 3rd Street between Heffernan and Rockwood Avenues. The work shall consist of demolition (including buildings), earthwork, underground utilities, installation of pavement, storm drain water quality management, site landscaping, and the construction of the Driver Breakroom/Security Building and shade structures, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. Also included are bulb-out improvements at the intersections of 3rd Avenue/Rockwood Avenue and 3rd Avenue/Heffernan Avenue, and improvements to the sidewalk along the east side of Rockwood Avenue, south of the project site.

Call for Projects
Overview
The Imperial County Transportation Commission (ICTC), as County Transportation Commission (CTC), is responsible for prioritizing projects for Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBG) and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ) funds for Imperial County to participate in the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Call for Project Nominations. ICTC has developed Imperial County prioritization guidance for the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2026-2027 and FFY 2027-2028 STBG/CMAQ Call for Project Nominations.

Program Workshops, Office Hours and Workshop Materials
SCAG hosted virtual workshops on March 12, 2025, 2-4 pm and March 18, 2025, 10 am – 12 pm to cover SCAG’s recently approved program guidelines, application process, and deadlines. Additional application office hours are available upon request.
